Meet Erin Howard

Mom, Small Business Owner, Activist


Erin Howard is a small business owner, a mom of three, and an active volunteer. Over eight years ago, Erin watched the Sandy Hook school shooting unfold while at home with her newborn baby girl. In the months that followed, Erin watched as Congress failed to act on gun safety measures. This fueled Erin’s desire to run for office to fight for causes close to her heart. As a mom, she’s used to going to bat for her kids, and is ready do the same for her constituents.


An entrepreneur with a clothing start-up, Erin is used to fulfilling many roles. She launched goodbody goodmommy in 2014, and today is CEO of the maternity clothing business. She currently runs the daily operations, fabric sourcing, public relations, fulfillment, social media, and marketing for the company. Her products are proudly constructed in the USA. Prior, Erin
spent 13 years in public relations, focusing on b-to-b clients in the financial services, industrial and green technology sectors.


Erin attended the University of Missouri School of Journalism where she graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism degree. She is a product of the public school system in Fairfax County, VA.


Today Erin lives in Monmouth County with her family. She serves on the Board of Tower Hill Preschool, having served two years as Board President. She is a member of the Fair Haven Green Team, Secretary of the Fair Haven Democrats, a Girls on the Run coach, and an active PTA volunteer. She does all of this while making multiple meals for three children a day, monitoring remote schooling when needed, and playing endless games of Sharks versus
