13th District Challengers Net $20K with Pallone, Coughlin

MIDDLETOWN — Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. and Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin headlined a Middletown fundraiser Saturday evening that netted over $20,000 for Vincent Solomeno (D-Hazlet) for State Senate and Erin Howard (D-Fair Haven) and Allison Friedman (D-Aberdeen) for State Assembly.

Solomeno, a U.S. Army Veteran and lifelong Monmouth County resident, said, “Our communities deserve a Senator who will fight for small businesses and working families. We’re laser focused on laying the groundwork for a competitive general election campaign.”

“We deserve representatives who are ready to work across the aisle,” said Howard, a small business owner making her first run for public office. “Vincent, Allison, and I are committed to listening to our constituents and, most importantly, being accessible.”

Friedman, an attorney and school board member, said, “As we visit with folks, they are responding to our plan to find solutions – not just obstructionism – to the challenges our communities face in Trenton.”

Assemblywoman Joann Downey (D-Freehold) was also at the fundraiser along with Democratic State Committeemembers Mary Foster, Robert Salman, and Lauren Albrecht, who also serves as chair of the New Jersey LGBTQ Democrats. Ocean County Democratic Chairman Wyatt Earp, Keyport Mayor Collette Kennedy, Atlantic Highlands councilwoman Lori Hohenleitner, Fair Haven councilman Michael McCue, Keyport councilwoman Victoria Pacheco, Red Bank councilman Ed Zipperich, and Hasbrouck Heights councilman Christopher Hillmann were also present.
